Broncos let the Steelers beat themselves 31-20

The Steelers made a ton of mistakes on offense and the Broncos made them pay for it.

    Yes, this was a big game for the Broncos as a team to stay up with the Chargers, but even more this could have a bigger game for the two QBs. Both Jake Plummer and Ben Rothlisberger were being talked about in not so good ways. It has been said that they were both in trouble of possibly losing there starting spots. The Broncos were thinking of trying out there first round draft pick Jay Cuttler soon if Plummer kept strugling. The Steelers were also thinking to try out there back-up Charlie Batch if Rothlisberger kept strugling and making poor decisions. This game could be a huge influence especially for Jake Plummer because the Broncos have already said that they are thinking about Cuttler. With his performance this week I think that Plummer has saved his job for a little longer. This game was probably influential to the Steelers coaching staff to really start thinking. Even though I haven’t heard them being very serious about Batch yet I think this will really get them thinking to try to somewhat save there season.

    I think with the way Plummer has played in Denver before this season, that Shanahan would give him the benefit of the doubt. Plummer has played well the last two weeks and should be the QB for the rest of the season, if the Broncos want to make the playoffs.
