Denver Broncos 38, Oakland Raiders 24

The Denver Broncos exploded in the second half yesterday as they outscored the Raiders 31-7 to pull away for an impressive road win!  Tim Tebow was very solid in this game as he completed 10 of 21 passes for 124 yards with 2 TD passes and 0 INTs.  He also carried the ball 12 times for 117 yards (9.8 ypc) yesterday.  Willis McGahee was also very impressive yesterday for the Broncos as he carried the ball 20 times for 163 yards (8.2 ypc) with 2 TD runs.  WRs Eric Decker (3 rec, 47 yards, TD), Demaryius Thomas (1 rec, 29 yards) and Eddie Royal (2 rec, 25 yards, TD) led the way for the Broncos in the passing game.  Royal also returned 1 punt and it went for a 85 yard TD in the 4th quarter yesterday to give the Broncos a lead that they never gave back.  The Broncos rushed for 298 yards on 38 carries (7.8 ypc) and they also completed 10 of 22 passes (45.5%) for 113 yards as they had possession of the ball for 31:51.

The Broncos’ D gave up a lot of yards yesterday, but they made more big plays than they gave up.  CB Chris Harris (11 tackles, 1 pass defensed and 1 interception), safety Quinton Carter (9 tackles) and safety Brian Dawkins (6 tackles and 1 pass defensed) led the way on D for the Broncos yesterday.  OLB Von Miller (5 tackles, 1/2 a sack, 1 tackle for a loss and 3 QB hits), DE Elvis Dumervil (3 tackles, 1.5 sacks, 1 tackle for a loss, 1 pass defensed and 2 QB hits) and CB Champ Bailey (2 interceptions) also made big plays for the Broncos in this game.  The Raiders finished up with 100 yards rushing on 26 carries (3.8 ypc) and they also completed 19 of 35 passes (54.3%) for 316 yards.  The Broncos are now 3-5 on the year.

Detroit Lions 45, Denver Broncos 10

The Broncos got absolutely destroyed in this game by the visiting Lions.  Tim Tebow had a game to forget.  He completed 18 of 39 passes for 172 yards with 1 TD pass and 1 INT (his interception was returned 100 yards for a TD by Lions’ CB Chris Houston).  Tebow also fumbled the ball three times, losing one of them, which was returned 24 yards for a TD by Lions’ DE Cliff Avril!  He also carried the ball 10 times for 63 yards (6.3 ypc) in this game.  Knowshon Moreno (14 carries, 69 yards, 4.9 ypc) and Lance Ball (6 carries, 63 yards, 10.5 ypc) had solid games on the ground for the Broncos yesterday.  WRs Eric Decker (6 rec, 72 yards, TD) and Eddie Royal (6 rec, 41 yards) led the way for the Broncos in the passing game.  The Broncos finished up with 195 yards rushing on 30 carries (6.5 ypc) and they also completed 18 of 39 passes (46.2%) for 117 yards as they had possession of the ball for 30:26.

The defense was also pretty bad for the Broncos yesterday.  CB Chris Harris (9 tackles), LB Wesley Woodyard (8 tackles) and DT Brodrick Bunkley (5 tackles) led the way for the Broncos on D.  The Lions finished up with 113 yards rushing on 28 carries (4.0 ypc) and they also completed 22 of 32 passes (68.8%) for 263 yards.  The Broncos are now 2-5 on the season.

Denver Broncos 18, Miami Dolphins 15 in O.T.

Tim Tebow worked his magic in the fourth quarter yesterday.  Tebow led the Broncos on two long TD drives in the fourth quarter as they scored 15 points in the last 2:44 of this game to get the team to O.T.  In overtime, Matt Prater nailed a 52-yard FG to give the Broncos a unlikely win.  Tebow completed 13 of 27 passes for 161 yards with 2 TD passes and 0 INTs.  He also carried the ball 8 times for 65 yards (8.1 ypc), including the game tying 2-point conversion near the very end of regulation.  Willis McGahee led the way for the Broncos on the ground in this game as he carried the ball 18 times for 76 yards (4.2 ypc).  Knowshon Moreno pitched in with 7 carries for 28 yards (4.0 ypc) and he also caught 2 passes for 10 yards in this game.  WR Matt Willis (1 rec, 42 yards), TE Daniel Fells (2 rec, 31 yards, TD) and WR Demaryius Thomas (3 rec, 27 yards, TD) led the way in the passing game for the Broncos.  The Broncos finished up with 183 yards rushing on 39 carries (4.7 ypc) and they also completed 13 of 27 passes (48.1%) for 125 yards as they has possession of the ball for 34:17.

The defense played great for the Broncos yesterday and they were a big reason for the win.  CB Jonathan Wilhite led the way for the Broncos’ D with 11 tackles and 1 QB hit.  LB Joe Mays (6 tackles), DE Ryan McBean (6 tackles, 2 tackles for a loss), safety Brian Dawkins (5 tackles, 2 tackles for a loss, 2 sacks and 3 QB hits), OLB Von Miller (5 tackles, 2 tackles for a loss, 1 sack and 2 QB hits) and LB D.J. Williams (5 tackles, 1 sack and 1 fumble recovery) also had solid games for Denver yesterday.  The Dolphins finished up with 94 yards rushing on 31 carries (3.0 ypc) and they also completed 22 of 33 passes (66.7%) for 173 yards.  The Broncos are now 2-4 on the year.

San Diego Chargers 29, Denver Broncos 24

The Broncos made a serious comeback against the Chargers yesterday, behind QB Tim Tebow, but they just fell a tad short.  Kyle Orton started this game at QB.  He completed 6 of 13 passes for 34 yards with 0 TD passes and 1 interception before the was benched for Tim Tebow.  Tebow then completed 4 of 10 passes for 79 yards with 1 TD pass and 0 INTs.  He also carried the ball 6 times for 38 yards (6.3 ypc) with 1 TD run in this game.  Willis McGahee led the way on the ground for the Broncos in this game with 125 yards rushing on 16 carries (7.8 ypc).  Knowshon Moreno didn’t carry the ball at all in this game but he did catch 3 passes for 40 yards (13.3 avg) with 1 TD grab.  TE Daniel Fells led the way for the Broncos in the passing game yesterday with 3 grabs for 47 yards (15.7 avg).  The Broncos finished up with 162 yards rushing on 23 carries (7.0 ypc) and they also completed 10 of 23 passes (43.5%) for 113 yards as they only had possession of the ball for 19:52.

The defense just couldn’t get off of the field yesterday.  LB D.J. Williams (9 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss, 1 sack and 1 QB hit), LB Joe Mays (9 tackles and 1 tackle for a loss), DT Marcus Thomas (8 tackles) and LB Wesley Woodyard (7 tackles) led the way for the Broncos’ D in this game.  CBs Andre Goodman (4 tackles, 1 pass defensed and 1 fumble recovery) and Cassius Vaughn (3 tackles, 2 passes defensed and a interception that he returned 55 yards for a TD) also made some big plays for the Broncos yesterday.  The Chargers finished up with 206 yards rushing on 43 carries (4.8 ypc) and they also completed 18 of 29 passes (62.1%) for 212 yards in this game.  The Broncos are now 1-4 on the year.

Green Bay Packers 49, Denver Broncos 23

The Broncos played hard today, but not nearly good enough to put up a good fight with the Packers at Lambeau Field.  Kyle Orton completed 22 of 32 passes for 273 yards with 3 TD passes and 3 INTs.  One of his interceptions was returned by CB Charles Woodson 30 yards for a Packers’ TD.  Willis McGahee looked solid as he carried the ball 15 times for 103 yards (6.9 ypc) and he also caught 2 passes for 10 yards.  WR Brandon Lloyd (8 rec, 136 yards), WR Eric Decker (5 rec, 56 yards, 2 TD grabs) and TE Daniel Fells (2 rec, 29 yards, TD) led the way for the Broncos in the passing game today.  The Broncos rushed for 119 yards on 23 carries (5.2 ypc) and they also completed 22 of 32 passes (68.8%) for 265 yards as they had possession of the ball for 26:59.

The defense had a tough time in dealing with Aaron Rodgers and his cohorts in crime.  LB D.J. Williams (8 tackles, 1 QB hit), LB Wesley Woodyard (7 tackles) and safety Brian Dawkins (6 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss) led the way for the Broncos on D today.  Rookie OLB Von Miller was really active in this game as he finished up with 4 tackles, 2 tackles for a loss, 2 sacks and 3 QB hits.  Safety Rahim Moore and CB Jonathan Wilhite each had 1 interception apiece in this game.  The Packers finished up with 111 yards rushing on 28 carries (4.0 ypc) and they also completed 29 of 39 passes (74.4%) for 396 yards.  The Broncos are now 1-3 on the season.

Tennessee Titans 17, Denver Broncos 14

The offense looked sluggish for the Broncos yesterday and it cost them this game.  Kyle Orton didn’t look too good in this game as he completed 24 of 39 passes for 173 yards with 2 TD passes and 2 INTs.  Willis McGahee had a rough time yesterday too as he carried the ball 22 times for 52 yards (2.4 ypc) and he also caught 3 passes for 2 yards (0.7 avg) with 1 TD grab.  WR Eric Decker led the way for the Broncos in this game with 7 grabs for 48 yards (6.9 avg).  TE Daniel Fells (2 rec, 42 yards), WR Brandon Lloyd (4 rec, 38 yards) and WR Matt Willis (2 rec, 16 yards, TD) also pitched in for the Broncos in the passing game.  The Broncos rushed for 59 yards on 23 carries (2.6 ypc) and they also completed 24 of 39 passes (61.5%) for 172 yards as they had possession of the ball for 29:06.

LB Wesley Woodyard led the Broncos on D yesterday with 10 tackles.  LB Joe Mays (6 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss and 1 pass defensed), CB Jonathan Wilhite (6 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss, 1 sack, 1 pass defensed and 2 QB hits) and CB Cassius Vaughn (6 tackles and 1 tackle for a loss) also had solid games for the Broncos yesterday.  DEs Robert Ayers and Derrick Harvey each pitched in with 1 fumble recovery apiece in this game.  The Titans rushed for only 38 yards on 23 carries (1.7 ypc) and they also completed 27 of 36 passes (75%) for 295 yards.  The Broncos are now 1-2 on the year.

Denver Broncos 24, Cincinnati Bengals 22

The Broncos had to fight to get nice home win yesterday as the Bengals really came to play.  Kyle Orton completed 15 of 25 passes for 195 yards with 2 TD passes and 0 INTs, to help silence his critics a tad.  Willis McGahee got the full load in the running game as he carried the ball 28 times for 101 yards (3.6 ypc) with 1 TD run.  Lance Ball also ran the ball well with 28 yards rushing on 6 carries (4.7 ypc).  Fullback Spencer Larsen only carried the ball 1 time for 4 yards but he also caught 3 passes for 23 yards (7.7 avg) in this game.  WR Eric Decker had an outstanding game for the Broncos as he caught 5 passes for 113 yards (22.6 avg) with 2 TD grab yesterday.  The Broncos finished up with 131 yards rushing on 36 carries (3.6 ypc) and they also completed 15 of 25 passes (60%) for 187 yards as they had possession of the ball for 30:15.

The defense was solid against the run but not so good against the Bengals’ passing game yesterday.  LBs Wesley Woodyard (13 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss and 1 pass defensed) and Joe Mays (8 tackles, 2 tackles for a loss) led the way for the Broncos in this game.  CBs Cassius Vaughn (5 tackles and 2 passes defensed) and Andre Goodman (5 tackles) pitched in for the Broncos.  The Bengals finished up with 72 yards on 20 carries (3.6 ypc) and they also completed 27 of 41 passes (65.9%) for 310 yards.  The Broncos are now 1-1 on the year.

Oakland Raiders 23, Denver Broncos 20

The Broncos played hard last night but not good enough to beat the Raiders.  Kyle Orton was solid as he completed 24 of 46 passes for 304 yards with 1 TD pass and 1 INT.  He also carried the ball 1 time for 13 yards in this game.  Knowshon Moreno led the way on the ground for the Broncos last night with 22 yards on 8 carries (2.8 ypc).  He also caught 2 passes for 35 yards (17.5 avg) in this game.  Willis McGahee only rushed for 3 yards on 4 carries (0.8 ypc) but he also caught 5 passes for 32 yards (6.4 avg) to help out.  RB Lance Ball didn’t get any carries but he caught 1 pass and it went for a 9-yard TD.  Brandon Lloyd led the way for the Broncos in the air with 6 grabs for 89 yards (14.8 avg).  Eric Decker had a huge game for the Broncos last night with 3 grabs for 53 yards (17.7 avg).  He also returned 5 punts for 128 yards (25.6 avg) with a 90-yard TD return!  The Broncos finished up with 38 yards rushing on 13 carries (2.9 ypc) and they also completed 24 of 46 passes (52.2%) for 272 yards.

The defense was rock solid against the pass but they couldn’t stop the Broncos’ running game and it killed them in the end.  Safety Brian Dawkins led the way for the Broncos last night with 9 tackles and 1 tackle for a loss.  DE Jason Hunter (6 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss and 1 sack) and LB Wesley Woodyard (6 tackles) also had solid games for the Broncos.  The Raiders finished up with 190 yards on 39 carries (4.9 ypc) and they completed 13 of 22 passes (59.1%) for 99 yards in this game.  The Broncos are 0-1 on the year.

The Broncos fought hard yesterday but they just came up a tad short in the end.  Tim Tebow was making things happen yesterday for the Broncos.  Tebow completed 16 of 36 passes for 205 yards with 2 TD passes and 2 INTs.  He also carried the ball 13 times for 94 yards (7.2 ypc) with a TD run yesterday.  Knowshon Moreno rushed for 41 yards on only 6 carries (6.8 ypc) as he looked good yesterday.  Lance Ball (6 carries for 21 yards) and Correll Buckhalter (3 carries for 8 yards and 4 receptions for 49 yards) also helped out the Broncos a tad on offense in this game.  WRs Brandon Lloyd (5 rec, 73 yards, TD) and Eric Decker (2 rec, 22 yards, TD) led the way for the Broncos in ths passing game yesterday.  The Broncos finished up with 146 yards rushing on 29 carries (5.0 ypc) and they also completed 16 of 36 passes for 191 yards as they only had the ball for 25:38 yesterday.

The defense was pretty awful for the Broncos in this game.  LB Mario Haggan (9 tackles and 1 QB hit), safety Brian Dawkins (7 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss, 1 sack and 1 QB hit) and rookie CB Perrish Cox (7 tackles and 2 passes defensed) led the way for the Broncos’ on D in this game.  Safety Renaldo Hill pitched in with 4 tackles, 1 pass defensed and 1 interception in this game.  The Chargers finished up with 164 yards rushing on 31 carries (5.3 ypc) and they also completed 21 of 37 passes for 283 yards.  The Broncos did have a bright spot on special teams as CB Cassius Vaughn returned a kickoff 97 yards for a TD.  The Broncos finish 4-12 on the season, finishing in last place in the AFC West.

The Broncos scored the last 14 points of this game as Tim Tebow pulled a victory from the jaws of defeat.  Tim Tebow completed 16 of 29 passes for 308 yards with 1 TD pass and 1 INT.  He also carried the ball 10 times for 27 yards (2.7 ypc) with a TD run.  Correll Buckhalter led the way on the ground for the Broncos with 42 yards rushing on 11 carries (3.8 ypc) with a TD run and he also caught 3 passes for 50 yards (16.7 avg) with a TD grab.  RBs Lance Ball (5 carries for 38 yards) and Knowshon Moreno (7 carries for 19 yards) also pitched in on the ground for the Broncos in this game.  WRs Brandon Lloyd (5 rec, 111 yards) and Jabar Gaffney (4 rec, 90 yards) led the way in the passing game for the Broncos yesterday.  The Broncos finished up with 126 yards on 33 carries (3.8 ypc) and they also completed 16 of 29 passes for 305 yards in this game.

The Broncos’ D didn’t play too well but the offense bailed them out in this game.  LB Wesley Woodyard (9 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss) and safety Brian Dawkins (9 tackles and 1 pass defensed) led the way for the Broncos on D in this game.  Rookie CB Syd’Quan Thompson picked off a Matt Schaub pass with 1:12 left in this game to seal the victory.  The Texans finished up with 91 yards rushing on 22 carries (4.1 ypc) and they also completed 23 of 33 passes for 310 yards in this game.  The Broncos are now 4-11 on the year.
