The Broncos were only down 23-20 heading into the 4th quarter before getting blown out in the end by the Raiders.  Tim Tebow looked o.k. in his first NFL start.  He completed 8 of 16 passes for 138 yards with 1 TD pass and 0 INTs.  He also carried the ball 8 times for 78 yards (9.8 ypc) with a very impressive 40-yard TD run.  The RBs of the Broncos carried the ball 25 times for 28 yards (1.1 ypc) in this game!  Brandon Lloyd led the way in the air for the Broncos in this game with 4 catches for 79 yards (19.8 avg) with a TD grab.  The Broncos finished up with 106 yards rushing on 33 carries (3.2 ypc) and they also completed 8 of 16 passes for 129 yards as they only had the ball for 26:03.

LBs D.J. Williams (8 tackles, 2 passes defensed and 1 QB hit) and Mario Haggan (7 tackles) led the way for the Broncos on “D” in this game.  LB Jason Hunter (fumble recovery), safety Renaldo Hill (interception) and DE Kevin Vickerson (interception) also made big plays for the Broncos in this game.  The Raiders rushed for 264 yards on 41 carries (6.4 ypc) and they also completed 15 of 26 passes for 238 yards.  The Broncos are now 3-11 on the season.

The Broncos ran into a buzzsaw yesterday in Phoenix.  Kyle Orton had his second pathetic game in a row as he completed 19 of 41 passes for 166 yards with 0 TD passes, 3 interceptions and a lost fumble.  Knowshon Moreno led the way on the ground for the Broncos in this game with 81 yards on 19 carries (4.3 ypc) with 1 TD run and he also caught 5 passes for 32 yards (6.4 avg).  Lance Ball pitched in with 8 carries for 38 yards (4.8 ypc) in this game.  WRs Jabar Gaffney (3 rec, 48 yards), Eddie Royal (4 rec, 46 yards) and Brandon Lloyd (3 rec, 32 yards) led the way in the passing game for the Broncos.  The Broncos finished up with 132 yards rushing on 31 carries (4.3 ypc) and they also completed 19 of 41 passes for 156 yards.

LB D.J. Williams (8 tackles, 1 pass defensed, 1 QB hit and 1 fumble recovery) and safety David Bruton (7 tackles and 2 tackles for a loss) led the way for the Broncos’ D in this game.  The Cardinals finished up with 211 yards rushing on 34 carries (6.2 ypc) and they also completed 15 of 38 passes for 146 yards.  The Broncos are now 3-10 on the year.

The high flying Broncos’ passing offense was nowhere to be seen yesterday at Arrowhead Stadium.  Kyle Orton was awful as he completed 9 of 28 passes for 117 yards with 0 TD passes and 0 INTs.  He also lost a fumble yesterday as Orton had his worst game of his time with the Broncos.  Knowshon Moreno was the only offensive player who really showed up yesterday for the Broncos.  Moreno carried the ball 23 times for 161 yards (7.0 ypc) for the Broncos yesterday as it wasn’t his fault that the Broncos lost.  WR Brandon Lloyd (2 rec, 31 yards) and WR Jabar Gaffney (2 rec, 28 yards) led the way in the “passing game” for the Broncos yesterday.  The Broncos finished up with 161 yards rushing on 23 carries (7.0 ypc) and they also completed 9 of 28 passes for 86 yards as they only had possession of the ball for 22:46.

The defense was bending but not breaking yesterday as they gave up quite a few yards despite only allowing 10 points.  LB D.J. Williams (9 tackles), CB Perrish Cox (8 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss) and safety David Bruton (7 tackles) led the way for the Broncos’ D in this game.  LB Mario Haggan pitched in with 3 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss, 1 sack, 2 QB hits and 1 fumble recovery also had a very solid game for the Broncos.  The Chiefs finished up with 185 yards rushing on 39 carries (4.7 ypc) and they also completed 17 of 31 passes for 174 yards.  The Broncos are now 3-9 on the season.

St. Louis Rams 36, Denver Broncos 33

The Broncos mounted a furious comeback in this game before falling just a tad short.  Kyle Orton completed 24 of 41 passes for 347 yards with 3 TD passes and 0 INTs.  Knowshon Moreno led the way on the ground for the Broncos with 56 yards rushing on 12 carries (4.7 ypc) with a TD run.  He also caught 6 passes for 62 yards (10.3 avg) in this game.  Lance Ball pitched in with 31 yards rushing on 4 carries (7.8 ypc).  WRs Brandon Lloyd (4 rec, 76 yards, 2 TDs), Eddie Royal (6 rec, 74 yards, TD and 1 carry for 20 yards) and WR Jabar Gaffney (3 rec, 59 yards) led the way through the air for the Broncos in this game.  The Broncos finished up with 119 yards rushing on 18 carries (6.6 ypc) and they also completed 24 of 41 passes for 330 yards.

DT Jamal Williams (8 tackles), LB D.J. Williams (8 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss and 2 passes defensed) and LB Joe Mays (7 tackles, 2 tackles for a loss and 1 QB hit) led the way for the Broncos on “D” yesterday.  The Rams finished up with 123 yards rushing on 35 carries (3.5 ypc) and they also completed 22 of 37 passes for 308 yards.  The Broncos are now 3-8 on the season.

San Diego Chargers 35, Denver Broncos 14

The Broncos went right down the field for a TD on the first possession of the game but that seemed to get the Chargers angry.  Kyle Orton was not too good last night as he completed 24 of 38 passes for 217 yards with 1 TD pass and 1 INT.  Knowshon Moreno pitched in with 58 yards rushing on 13 carries (4.5 ypc) with 1 TD run and he also caught 7 passes for 62 yards (8.9 avg).  WR Brandon Lloyd led the way in the passing game for  the Broncos with 6 grabs for 78 yards (13.0 avg) with 1 TD grab.  The Broncos finished up with 63 yards rushing on 15 carries (4.2 ypc) and they also completed 24 of 38 passes for 172 yards as they had possession of the ball for 25:41.

LBs Joe Mays (11 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss) and Wesley Woodyard (7 tackles) led the way for the Broncos on D in this game.  CB Champ Bailey pitched in with 3 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss, 1 pass defensed and 1 interception.  The Chargers finished up with 147 yards rushing on 38 carries (3.9 ypc) and they also completed 16 of 26 passes for 253 yards.  The Broncos are now 3-7 on the season.

Denver Broncos 49, Kansas City Chiefs 29

The pep talk that John Elway gave to the Broncos before this game much have inspired the troops because they destroyed the Chiefs yesterday.  The Broncos led this game 42-10 with 9:24 left in the third quarter!   Kyle Orton was outstanding for the Broncos in this game as he completed 22 of 34 passes for 296 yards with 4 TD passes and 0 INTs.  Tim Tebow also got in on the action as he completed his only pass attempt and it went for a 3-yard TD.  Tebow also carried the ball 2 times for 2 yards (1.0 ypc) with 1 TD run in this game.  Knowshon Moreno played by far the best game of his NFL career yesterday.  He carried the ball 22 times for 106 yards (4.8 ypc) and he also caught 3 passes for 50 yards (16.7 avg) with a TD grab.  FB Spencer Larsen got in on the fun for the Broncos too with 2 carries for 17 yards (8.5 ypc) and he also caught 1 pass for 3 yards (it went for a TD).  Brandon Lloyd led the way in the passing game for the Broncos yesterday with 6 catches for 90 yards (15.0 avg) with 2 TD grabs.  WRs Jabar Gaffney (3 rec, 57 yards, TD), Demaryius Thomas (3 rec, 51 yards) and Eddie Royal (5 rec, 39 yards and 2 carries for 20 yards) also helped out on offense for the Broncos in this game.  The Broncos finished up with 153 yards rushing on 31 carries (4.9 ypc) and they also completed 23 of 35 passes for 299 yards. 

The defense was pretty solid yesterday despite giving up 29 points.  CB Champ Bailey (10 tackles, 1 pass defensed), LB Joe Mays (7 tackles) and LB Mario Haggan (6 tackles, 3 sacks, 2 tackles for a loss and 3 QB hits) led the way for the Broncos’ D in this game.  OLB Jason Hunter had a huge play in this game as he recovered a Matt Cassel fumble that he returned 75 yards for a TD.  The Chiefs finished up with 51 yards rushing on 22 carries (2.3 ypc) and they also completed 33 of 53 passes for 433 yards.  The Broncos are now 3-6 on the year.

San Francisco 49ers 24, Denver Broncos 16

The Broncos just couldn’t hold off the Niners in this game as they scored 3 TDs in the 4th quarter to come back and dump Denver.  Kyle Orton was solid at QB once again completing 28 of 40 passes for 369 yards with 1 TD pass and 1 INT.  He also carried the ball 3 times for 18 yards (6.0 ypc) in this game.  Knowshon Moreno led the way on the ground for the Broncos with 40 yards rushing on 11 carries (3.6 ypc) and he also caught 4 passes for 19 yards (4.8 avg).  Tebow carried the ball 2 times for 1 yard (0.5 ypc) yesterday and he scored a TD.  Brandon Lloyd led the way in the passing game for the Broncos in this game with 7 grabs for 169 yards (24.1 avg) with 1 TD grab.  Jabar Gaffney (4 rec, 54 yards), Eddie Royal (4 rec, 34 yards) and Correll Buckhalter (4 rec, 23 yards) also pitched in for the Broncos in the passing game yesterday.  The Broncos finished up with 59 yards rushing on 17 carries (3.5 ypc) and they also completed 28 of 40 passes for 338 yards.

The defense played outstanding football for 3 quarters yesterday before folding up the tent and giving up 3 TDs.  LBs D.J. Williams (9 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss and 1 pass defensed) and Mario Haggan (8 tackles) led the way for the Broncos on D last night.  The 49ers finished up with 143 yards rushing on 42 carries (3.4 ypc) and they also completed 12 of 19 passes for 196 yards.  The Broncos are now 2-6 on the year.

Oakland Raiders 59, Denver Broncos 14

This was one of the worst beatings the Broncos have ever took.  It looked like they didn’t want to even play today and the Raiders made them pay for it.  Kyle Orton completed 12 of 29 passes for 198 yards with 2 TD passes and 1 INT (it was returned 30 yards for a TD by Raiders’ CB Chris Johnson).  Orton also carried the ball 2 times for 21 yards (10.5 ypc) and he lost a fumble in this game.  Knowshon Moreno came to play for the Broncos today as he carried the ball 14 times for 53 yards (3.8 ypc) and he also caught 3 passes for 37 yards (12.3 avg) with 2 TD grabs.  Jabar Gaffney led the way in the passing game for the Broncos today with 4 grabs for 54 yards (13.5 avg).  The Broncos finished up with 75 yards rushing on 17 carries (4.4 ypc) and they also completed 12 of 29 passes for 165 yards as they only had possession of the ball for a whopping 21:21!

DT Marcus Thomas (10 tackles) and LB Jason Hunter (6 tackles, 3 tackles for a loss, 1 sack, 1 pass defensed and 1 QB hit) both came to play for the Broncos today too bad they didn’t have any help!  The Raiders finished up with 328 yards rushing on 52 carries (6.3 ypc) and they also completed 12 of 20 passes for 180 yards.  The Broncos are now 2-5 on the year after getting demolished by the Raiders at home.

New York Jets 24, Denver Broncos 20

The Broncos traded punches with the Jets today before coming up just a tad short when LaDainian Tomlinson scored a TD on a 2-yard run with only 1:13 left in the game.  Kyle Orton was a little bit off today as he completed 14 of 34 passes for 209 yards with 1 TD pass and 0 INTs.  He also carried the ball 3 times for 22 yards (7.3 ypc).  Tim Tebow ran the Broncos’ version of the Wildcat today and he carried the ball 6 times for 23 yards (3.8 ypc) with 1 TD run (the first of his NFL career).  Knowshon Moreno made a surprise appearance today and he led the Broncos with 48 yards rushing on 12 carries (4.0 ypc) but he also lost a fumble.  Jabar Gaffney (6 rec, 81 yards), Brandon Lloyd (4 rec, 74 yards) Eddie Royal (3 rec, 37 yards) and Demaryius Thomas (1 rec, 17 yards, TD) led the way for the Broncos in the passing game today.   The Broncos finished up with 145 yards rushing on 37 carries (3.9 ypc) and they also completed 14 of 34 passes for 201 yards today.

Linebacker D.J. Williams led a decent effort by the Broncos’ D with 11 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss, 1 sack, 2 passes defensed and 1 QB hit.  Safety Renaldo Hill (fumble recovery), rookie CB Syd’Quan Thompson (interception) and LB Jason Hunter (interception) made big plays for the Broncos today.  The Jets finished up with 129 yards rushing on 30 carries (4.3 ypc) and they also completed 17 of 30 passes for 190 yards today.  The Broncos are now 2-4 on the year.

Baltimore Ravens 31, Denver Broncos 17

The Broncos just couldn’t get the Ravens’ offense off the field in this game limiting any chance they had of making a game of it.  Kyle Orton still got his numbers as he completed 23 of 38 passes for 314 yards with 2 TD passes and 0 INTs.  Laurence Maroney (6 car, 27 yards) and Correll Buckhalter (5 car, 13 yards) led the way for the Broncos on the ground in this game.  WRs Brandon Lloyd (5 rec, 135 yards, 2 TDs) and Jabar Gaffney (9 rec, 87 yards) led the way for the Broncos through the air today.  The Broncos finished up with 39 yards rushing on 13 carries (3.0 ypc) and they also completed 23 of 38 passes for 307 yards as they only had possession of the football for 23:43.

LBs D.J. Williams (15 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss) and Jason Hunter (9 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss, 1 sack and 1 QB hit) led the way for the Broncos on D in this game.  The Ravens finished up with 233 yards rushing on 47 carries (5.0 ypc) and they also completed 14 of 25 passes for 182 yards.  The Broncos are now 2-3 on the year.
