The Denver Broncos only won 4 games last year. So the question is….can they win at least two more games in 2011? I think they will. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised to see the Broncos be a .500 team in 2011. As soon as the Broncos chose to start Kyle Orton at QB, I felt that they were aiming to turn things around this year instead of rebuilding. With that in mind, I would bet the over when talking about Broncos’ wins in 2011.
The Denver Broncos will be hard pressed to match the 8 wins they had in 2009. The awful finish to the year (2-6 in last 8 games) plus the losses of Brandon Marshall, Tony Scheffler and Elvis Dumervil make the Broncos a team to bet against in 2010. No way they go over 7.5 wins in 2010. Avoid the circus unless betting on the under in 2010. The Broncos are not a bargain despite being 75-1 to win the Super Bowl in 2010.
This numbers seems a tad low to me when you consider that the Broncos will probably win 4 games against the Chiefs and Raiders this season. That means the Broncos would only have to win 4 games against everyone else and I feel that they will do that with ease. Take the over with the Broncos in 2008 and double your money.
I don’t like the idea of taking an over when the team in question has a young starting QB and a defense that can’t stop the run and that’s the Broncos.
